Programs

The Factory Youth Center is a safe and fun place for teens to connect with other teens, connect with caring adults, and most importantly connect with God.

We have a variety of programs to help us accomplish this goal.

Open Door Nights

Every Monday and Thursday Nights from 6:30-8:30 The Factory Youth Center is open to all students in grades 6 through grades 12.

These nights are fun, upbeat, and provide a safe place for teens to come and hang out and connect with one another. Our "lounge time" offers us a chance to share with them how God can help them deal with their pain and help them overcome their obstacles.

The lounge times are high energy, media-driven, and culturally relevant meetings where God's Word is used and God's redemptive plan is shared effectively and clearly.

After-school Program

On Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 students can receive free tutoring at The Factory.  Knowledgeable adults are available to help the students with homework, research and school projects.  A state of the art computer lab is available with plenty of programs, high-speed filtered internet access, and a color laser printer.

Mentoring

Teens need to know that adults care about them. Psychologist have proven that in order for a teenager to be able to develop emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and in so many other areas, they need to be surrounded by adults who love for who they are and will encourage them to reach their potential.

The ministry of mentoring gives a chance for our dedicated volunteers to be able to meet individually with the teenagers in a setting where they can cultivate a
relationship of trust and support with the teens. These relationships offer the staff a chance to show love, help, and care on an individual basis.

Partners with Parents

Bi-monthly meetings are held for the parents of teens who attend The Factory. These meetings provide outlets for parents to discuss issues related to raising and dealing with their teenagers.

These meetings also offer opportunities for the staff to building relationships of trust and respect with the parents in order for The Factory to be able to partner more effectively and resource more appropriately with the parents.
